Income tax return

Dear All,

can i file my income tax retrun first for current year i.e. 2010-2011 and then previous year 2009-2010

or first i need to file 2009-10 only...

Hi Jyoti,

You can file the return for the P.Y. 2010 -2011 now and for P.Y.2009 -2010 till 31.03.2012

As such it is no where mentioned that C.Y. return to be filed first & then P.Y.

However, time limit for filing P.Y. return has not yet expired, so u can do........If the said P.Y. return shows refund, u wont be eligible for refund as for claiming refund , return should be filed before due date.

Or else, if its ur revised return, u can filed after filing 10-11 return

I suggets u to filed both return together on same date..........
