By what time the refund is expected if return has been filed online in Sep. 2011 for A.Y. 2011-12. The return is ITR-4, non audit.

- If you e-filed and chose direct deposit, you should get your federal refund in 8 to 14 days.
- Add another week if you opted for a check refund.
- And if you filed by mail, your refund can take up to 6 weeks, although 2 to 4 weeks is usually the norm.
