I went to Income Tax office for a case of TDS refund. Income tax officer asked for certain documents. I have no problem in giving him the documents but I asked from him to give me in writing, any letter or mail, specifying what all documents he need. He refused. He said he will not give anything in writing. I also refused to give him any documents until unless he give me something in writing.
I am doing this so that the process will be recorded that we had a meeting & he asked from me for certain documents. I am concerned that if I go to him with the documents he asked he might keep on bothering me for more & more documents.
So my query or concern in this case is wheather should I straightaway give him the documents he asked or should I keep asking him to give me in writing the list of documents he need ?
