I am studying from VK Singhania of Taxmann for Taxation..
New edition is available in market now..
Everything is supported by Examples and Illustrations..
You may also go for TN Manoharan its also a good book and Exam oriented..
But for Depth knowledge and from Practical aspects, VK Singhania is best..

If you are able to understand standard and a bit of complex english, then refer Singhania, which is also having lots of practice problems, in other case, if you want simple language than Singhania go for Girish Ahuja or Manoharan. Both are good.
