Income from salary pension

Hi Sir/Madam, Every month I receive salary pension from my previous organization, for the month of Jan,Feb and mar - 2015 pension i received in the month of April 2016. My Question is : Should I considered jan feb mar pension in the assessment year 2016-2017 or 2017-2018

salary should be taxable due/receipt which ever is earlier.. better u show in 2016-17, u can show it in 20167-18 also , but u have huge calculations on relief u/s89A

It shpuld be in 16-17 as salary has bencome due in that AY.

You have received the pension in the F.Y. 2016-17 hence it can only be considered in A.Y. 2017-18. It is not about when it is due but it is all about when you receive it. It is also crystal clear that you can't make changes in the past but make adjustments in the future to nullify the effect.
