Hi All,

While computing Actual Rent Received.The Tds has to be deducted.

For E.g .Suppose .Rent is Rs.10,000/- p.m. and TDS Rs.1,000/- p.m.The actual rent received will be Rs.9,000/- p.m.

Please confirm(if any notings are available please mention)

if A is ur tenant and u recieved 9000 after tds of 1000.

AS per section-23(1) for COMPUTATION OF INCOME UNDER THE HEAD HOUSE PROPERTY:-

ACTUAL ANNUAL RENT RECIEVED OR RECIEVABLE MINUS UNREALISED RENT SHOULD BE TAKEN i.e in your case 10000*12=120000

Rent received is Rs. 10,000/-, and the tenant shall deduct TDS and deposit i the bank on your behalf, so you may use that credit in your ITR.
