Imports & Exports - VAT/CST

Hello,

I understand that imports & exports are not subject to sales tax, but can anyone please tell me whether there is a legal obligation to report Import purchases or export sales for purposes of VAT & CST in Delhi, Mahrashtra and Tamil Nadu?
