Many other countries also, adopted this festivity and started observing the first Sunday of august as friendship day. In the year 1997, the United Nations named 'Winnie - the Pooh' as the world's brand ambassador of friendship. Friendship and Bible => Bible is the sacred text of western civilization that practice Christianity as religion. Even, this holy book has reflected on the friendship day importance. It says - 'bond is formed by human faith, trust and companionship.' This is oneofthe major documents that tell about friendship day history.
