METHANOL ARE CLASSIFIED UNDER HSN 29051100, CUSTOMS DUTIES ARE AS BELOW
BCD- 7.5% VIDE 12/2012 OF CUSTOMS SR NO 165
CVD- 0% VIDE 12/2012 OF EXCISE SR NO 115
CESS- 3%
SAD - 4%
METHANOL ARE NOT RESTRICTED FOR IMPORT AND DO NOT REQUIRE A IMPORT LICENCE FROM DGFT UNLIKE OTHER DERIVATES WHICH REQUIRE A IMPORT LICENCE. STILL GET IT CHECKED FROM CUSTOMS PORT, PRIOR TO IMPORTS.
YOU NEED AN IEC AND OTHER IMPORT DOCUMENTS IN ORGINAL ( INVOICE, PACKING LIST, BILL O F LADING , CERTITIFCATE ORIGIN FOR CUSTOMC LEARANCE.
GSTR 9 and 9C for FY 23-24 as amended by Notification 12/2024 dated 10th July 2024(with recording)
