Dear Pratik
What are the importatnt documents for import depends on what item you import.Normally the following are the important documents :
1. Commercial Invoice/invoice
2. Packing list
3. Certificate of origin
4. Bill of Lading in case of import by Sea or Airway Bill if import is by Air
5. Insurance Poilcy or Insurance Certificate in case of import on CIF for Sea or CIP for Air basis
6. Analisys Report or Certificate of Analisys
The Customs duty payable depends on what Item you import suppose import of machinary 7.5% bsisc customs duty will be payble in cae of plastic item 10% basic customs duty is payble the above are normal basic customs duty the same may be reduced by the general Notification whch needs to be seen.The duties and surcharge leviable in theCustoms duty structure are Basic Duty+Social Welfare Surcharge+ Inetrgrated Goods and Service Tax (IGST)
