If you understand CGST act, then IGST act is very easy to understand.
Because both the acts have same provisions with few differences

GTA ( REGD TRANSPORT ) books cargo in Chennai and delivers in Hyderabad. Freight invoiced and collected by GTA DELIVERY office in Hyderabad. Consignee shall pay GST RCM on IGST or CGST/SGST heads? GTA uploads the invoices on RCM IGST head in its GSTR1. Consignee has already paid RCM on CGST/SGST heads in his GSTR3B.

Section 12(8) of IGST ACT defines POS in this case which is HYDERABAD but what about place of origination of service??

Going by the freight invoices raised it shall be an intrastate supply. But GTA treats it by place of booking which makes it interstate supply.
