My CA Final attempt is due in May 2012. There is quite a buzz of IFRS replacing the existing AS.
I am confused as to what should : IFRS or AS ?
Please suggest me your expert advice and also let me know which book should be preferred to study the above mentioned topics.

Hi,
Dont worry yar, ICAI has clearly stated that the indian accounting standards will not be replaced by IFRS but they will be brought in the line with IFRS. many accounting standards are already in the line with IFRS and other are pending revision. So there will be an adaption of IFRS rather than its adoption.
The Good book on IFRS/Accounting Standards is MP Vijay Kumar.

IFRS is just upgraded version of IAS.... so this is necessary to learn and get trained....
