If scholarship received, can i claim school fees under 80c??

There is a client of mine, whose child got scholarship for his school education 50% as scholarship.

Now the question is Can i claim that amount also under 80C, as it was paid??

If 50% of tution fees are covered by scholarship and remaining 50% are paid by your client, then he can claim only 50% u/s 80C.

Yes he can claim only 50% of tuition fee.

Fees PAID can be claimed as deduction u/s 80C...wat abt scholarship rcvd??? i think it is exempt u/s 10
