Seeking guidance for one issue.
We are one of importers of non ferrous metal scrap from around the world. IEC has been issued for the one firm against the PAN No. of the proprietor. Now, we have applied for IEC for another firm with the same proprietor. The DGFT office has rejected the application stating that already IEC has been issued previously hence, can not be issued another IEC for another firm with the same PAN No. It is a new rule.
We can run more than one firm with the same proprietor and we can have more than one currnet bank account than why can not we get more than one IEC?
