concentrate on latest case laws relevant for your respective terms. It covers around 40-45% of the paper. Then go for customs practical questions as they are certain to come and are easy and scoring. Third give 100% in service tax as it is short as compared to excise and much more easy to understand. VAT part is a bonus with limited syllabus and u can score high in this part

Hi Pavitra,
I prepared IDT in this way. It might help you.
1. Completing the bangar once.
2. Completeing the recent case laws.(Covering around 30 marks)
3. All the practical questions from the bangar and complier.(Covering around 25 marks)
4. Ammendments.(Covering around 15 marks)
5. VAT.(For remainng 5 marks apart from Practical questions)
Thanks and Regards

Hi Pavithra,
It depends what all things you want to do.
As in for example, I skipped the procedural part from banga and read the stuff which i thought that they are relevant.
So for me the entire IDT hardly took 10 days to finish.
But it differs from person to person.
