I am preparing for IDT on self study basis... but both both excise & customs are so vast.....am getting lost in the syllabus.
whats the strategy for self study in IDT?? how to get a grip on this subject??

As far as my concerend , IDT is very interresting subject and it is only my favourite subject at the time of studies. As you prepare this subject on self study basis, then could you tell me that whether you just prepare this subject to get 55 to 65 marks OR prepare this subject to get expertise upto 85% to 95% .
According to that i can recoomend you.

The book written by Ajay Jain Sir is itself written in Short Note Type, so there is no need to make short notes of it. However for Quick revision he has given the summary of the chapter at the beginning of the Chapter.
For Detailed Study and scoring good marks, you can refer his Question & Answer book for understanding the concepts clearly and to know how to answer in the exams with proper presentation of the answers
