Whether dipak gupta IDT notes are good for self study or I should go for any text book. Please tell good book for self-preparation.

I think Bangar' s book is best for IDT..
When I read it for the 1st tym, I doubted a bit but when i went hrough the book for 2nd tym, book
was awesome...

DK scanner is good. but Assignment is good for those who take his classess.

For indirect taxation the below mention book is good . by studying below mention book i got 92 marks in ICWAI .
Taxmann's Indirect Taxes by Datey

In my opinion Bangar is good one. Beacuse aprt from concept it wil also covers majority Case laws and Practical Sums.So you will gain Knowledge of Priciple provisions vis a vis Practical aspects.
