Dear friends, one of my class mates told me that, "from Dec 2012, one must complete 3 years of articleship after ICWA inter for getting eligibile for ICWA final as in the case of CA", Is it true?

To become eligible for appearing in the Final Examination, scheme of completion of atleast 6 months of training, having registered for training of one year would come into force from Dec 2013 term of examination onwards.

I have just registered for icwai.As i have finished my bcom im directly into inter & m writing the first group of inter this dec 12.....pls advice me if i must do articleship of 3 yrs to be eligible to attempt finals... pls respond...

@ Narayanan, not 3 yrs trng.., you need to finish min 6 months trng, and you must register as a trainee atleast for a period of one year trng..to get eligibility for final exams... w.e.f Dec'13
means, Dec 12, you are appearing for I gr, and by june,13 if you finish your Inter, you are eligible to write final exams by june'14.., you shd finish 6 months trng before june'14...

So hopefully if i finish inter in june 2013,i jst need to do 6 mnths training ryt??? the other registration as a trainee for 1 year will not be applicable for me if i clear inter by june 13 ??? am i ryt ??

as per circular..
1.You must register as trainee for a period of atleast one year
2.must have completed 6 months trng
3. 6 months trng shd be completed before 31st mar, or 30th sep.. for june or dec exams respy..
so if you want to write final in june '14, you shd finish it by 31 st mar'14,
and dont forget.. 6mths trng is for final exams... but to become CMA.. you shd finish 3yrs trng..
