Ankit, i don't know the exact reason...
But, i know that even most of CAs are not ready to pay that 1500 also, coz the no. of artciles each CA has, he's fed up wid paying 15000 p.m. (if he has just 10 articles even) to his assistants...
I mean, the population of this country is huge and so are the CA STUDENTS .., so ICAI has imposed a compulsary limit of articles to every CA..., bt at the same time, those CAs feel that as such articles r not so helpful (rather, we, as an article, are most helpful to any CA.., coz we learn and perform for them only for 3.5 years), and so they don't feel to pay more than that....

i think institute should be blamed for this as all the rules which are introduced by the I.C.A.I are favouring the members not students.like
1 Transfer Not Allowed
2 No check on time devoted
3.Full power in hands of C.A
4.No Redressel
5.Nominal Stipened
6 Many others

Ye to hona hi hai. "Jiski lathi uski bhains" Voting rights students ke haath me nahi hai, Members ke haath me hai.
ICAI has set a slab(limit) for the regualtory purpose. Institute is not of the view to force these. It depends upon the CA.
Following facts have to be known properly.
Above points may appear very thin and unimportant but if you seek a professional acclaim in CA you have to understand the sacrifices (hard work) first rather early rewards.
Most important factor is where you undergo articleship. Always choose a right and good mentor whom you can easily convince by your hard work and dedicated approach. Money will follow for SURE!

I agree with you Rivati. If CAs in Pakistan can pay higher stipends to articles then why Indian CAs can not? If they have problem of excess number of articles then available placements then they should revise thier addmission criteria. Further think if no article is available then how CAs will be able to hire professionals in the same amount which they pay to articles.
Also it is compromise on quality of training by bounding each CA to have atleast 10 assistants whether he has sufficient work or not. ICAI must not induct each and every one rather should control the number of students so that a compititive environment may be created. By controlling number of students passing the exams more placements will be available than number of assistants and each CA will recruit only that number of assistants which will be actualy required by him depending upon his buisness. Moreover such students will be real quality students. Then for sure stipend will increase automatically.
In Pakistan situation is contrary to India. There CAs are bound not to have articles more than 20 in case of ACA and 30 in case of FCA. That's why CA in Pakistan is a compitition exam rather than a conventional education because ICAP examination system is very tough which brings forth only highly quality students and not more than placements available in CA firms.

On a lighter note,I would like to say that ye stipend ka jhagda sirf 3 saal ka hota hai, n after that since we all will be paying it,we would not like it to be increased by ICAI So guys just bear it for 3 years, fir to to lathi hamare hath me hi hogi.

I did not agree with you Atir.
Question is not who gonna pay, Question is that whether its fair or not. and if we do the same its not fair.
Atleast beleive on that and when you are in the position to do something. Please choose the right side.
