Accounting regulator Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is planning to launch a 24/7 television channel in the next couple of months to cater to the captive audience across the country. The proposal has been submitted to the authorities (Prasar Bharti) and a final nod is expected in the next three months. "This will be a unique move as the channel will help the students and all our branches spread across the country. Talks are being evaluated but this would be a channel which would not require any heavy investment, said Subodh Agrawal, president ICAI. This would be the first time that an accounting regulator outfit will come out with its own channel. "The channel would expand our base by quite a huge extent, he said.
