@ Pranay its a thought that comes to my mind again and again.
Statistics is one of my favorite subjects because it has the ability to extract truth from any myth what so ever.
Actions leave trails and statistics can surely catch them but I have not come across such a person who revealed anything as such. Various teachers do know small-small things though but they believe that the students are purely responsible for the results because they see a pattern in students (and their attitude) they teach in every class.
We can always find the pattern but we need huge amount of unbiased data.
I have seen so many times that when one paper sometime gets marked very badly..like Isca this time..so many people will score just one figure e.g.29 even when they would have expected 60-70 marks which tells me that there is surely bad assessment there but also some marks cutting to reduce the result through out the country or centrewise..Institute is being forced slowly to reveal their method of awarding marks and manipulating results and they are being made to explain this again and again.
I think time will come when they will say, we will pass only 5000 this attempt and so on because manipulating the result in the current way is not scientific or justified at all.
