Her smile only for a moment stayed
she didn't smile at me again,
but like the sun in a London street
her eyes constantly played hide and seek!
As our eyes met once again
she made no effort to sustain,
and made it clear to me
"you are a stranger,
and that you'll always be!"
"Never will this girl
allow me close" I thought,
even as my heart
for a walk with her besought,
yet not a step forward I dared took
just gave her an anxious look!
Apathetic she, hopped onto the next bus
not turning once to see,
while my heart constantly tried assuring me
"one day she will definitely walk with you
