I have failed in my PE 2 exams. I have given the first group this time and had decided to give the second group in Nov. I got above 50 in audit and law and got just 28 marks in accounts but thats not good enough for an exemption.
Should I re-appear for PE 2 or leave CA completely.
I am in the final yr of my B.com and was thinking of doing MBA. So should I quit Ca and prepare for entrance test of MBA.
Please tell me whether CA is meant for me. I got 65 pc in PE 1 in the first attempt and I am an average student in my regular studies.

hello
i can understand ur feelings as i m also on the same track. i had given both the gps but failed in first gp i got 99 total and in the 2nd i got 112 total i got 31 in a/c 41 audit 27 in law
i think u r lucky as u r still in ur graduation and look one yr has passed of my completion of graduation i m also an avg student and i strongly determine to do mba but there r some problems that i cantt do
first of all it will take u atleast 6 mts to prepare 4 mba in ca atleast u know that the syllabus is there and u have to rattofi those and also there is exemption if u get above 60. and after 3 months u have to appear and according to the new system u can do articleship alongwith
i will suggest my system of study to u --do 1st group throughly in august i say only first then if u get command then in september do 2nd gp but think of first gp only do not rotate ur mind b confident b self motivated and determined this is a professional study u have to go in life and u have not lost anything infact u have gained a knowledge then c u will clear
all the best
Hi anita
Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate that you bothered to comment here. I have decided that I will continue with the CA course and atleast complete  PE 2  level.
It is correct that we are already aware about the syllabus of CA and we have better chances of success at PE 2 compared to MBA entrance which needs atleast 6 months practice. I will give both the groups together becuase I think they might discontinue PE 2 exams once the new scheme is introduced and tell us to continue with new syllabus which has some additional topics. I have decided to study really hard for these 3 months and then appear. Also I will give the MBA entrance tests and only study for them after Nov PE 2 exams. I might not get admission in the best Management institutes but will try and atleast get admission in some local college.
When I read a news article on the net, I changed my mind. In the article, it was said that ICAI is thinking of giving some recognition to just inter pass students by way of giving them Account technician degree or something like that.
Inter is equivalent to PE 2 so maybe ICAI will also give some recognition to just PE 2 pass students.

Thank you once again and Best of Luck to you too.
DEAREST MATHURAN

WHY HAVE YOU DECIDED TO COMPLETE CA PE2 ATLEAST ???? WHY NOT CA FINALS??
I FEEL THAT YOU ARE VERY UPSET WITH YOUR RESULTS. BUT DONT WORRY IT HAPPENS IN THE NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETITION LIKE CA.

DONT QUIT IN MIDWAY SHOULD BE YOUR MANTRA AT THIS POINT OF TIME.

IT APPEARS THAT YOU HAVE GOT GOOD MARKS IN YOUR PE 1 LEVEL WHICH CERTIFIES BY THE ICAI THAT YOU ARE A STUDENT WITH REQUISITE BASIC KNOWLEDGE TO SUCCEED IN CA EXAMS. THEREFORE, DO NOT GET DISHEARTENED WITH YOUR RESULTS. WORK HARD ON ACCOUNTS, PASS THE COMING ATTEMPT & MOVE ON TO NEXT LEVEL OF TESTING IN THE CA EXAM.
BUT COMPLETE YOUR CA FULLY AS YOU ARE TALENTED & HARD WORKING STUDENT.

MUST REMEMBER THAT FAILURES ARE ONLY SUCCESS DELAYED.
SO, DONT QUIT.
