1.Register for ITT & orientation. Complete it soon !
2.There is much time for you to prepare. If you start your studies now ,sincerely . .everything would be too easy for you.
3.Books -
Try to keep the study materials by your side even if you are studying from some other books , give it a look time to time.
1.ACCOUNTS / ADV. ACCOUNTS : Praveen Sharma's book too good to practice problems! I refer to it.
2.LAW : MUNISH BHANDARI
3.COST-FM : PADHUkA
4.AUDIT : SURBHI BANSAL
5.TAX : GIRISH AHUJA
6.IT & SM : DINESH MADAN for IT & P.S RATHORE for S.M

“ HOW TO PREPARE FOR UPCOMING EXAMS RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING WHEN U ENTER THE PROFESSIONAL COURSE” like CA , CS, CWA, and many others.
HAVE A LOOK.
1 Study from ICAI / ICSI / ICWAI MODULES for all subjects supplemented by other books recommended by your coaching centres or friends. ICAI MODULES are must. Even, in exams many of the questions are framed from modules itself.
2 Make brief notes of relevant topics in one page which you feel that they are very important from exam point of view by in very brief and concise form so that it becomes easy to remember.
3 Make TIME TABLE for preparation of topics on daily basis or weekly basis. But, remember you should follow it. Any variation in time table must be taken seriously by you and take corrective actions.
4 Supervision is must for your TIME TABLE. And u can only become your own best supervisor for all ACTS u perform for exam preparation.
5 Ensure two revisions before you appear for the examination. In other words, a minimum of three readings should have been completed by the time you appear for the examination.
6 Look all the question papers of previous examinations so that you easily cope up with answering question framed during exams. It’s very compulsory for each and every student.
7 Based on weightage to each topics of every modules, prepare accordingly and spend more time and effort for important topics. But be careful, don’t ever go blindly with the last 5 year’s paper trend. It may be change in your exam case.
8 In the case of theory subjects, focus on understanding the concepts thoroughly . Read each topics again and again. U will memorise them automatically.
9 In the case of numerical subjects, such as accountancy, costing and mathematics, focus on understanding the methods, formulae and format of presenting the solution.
10 Practice makes the man perfect.
11 Have group study once in a week. It will prove boon to your preparation.
12. LASTLY, “Winner’s don’t do different things, they do things differently.” Be a “WINNER”.

As far as reference book is concerned each one has their own preference. All the books were good. Some south books are so easy than north Indian Authors . Example, V K Singania book is vast compared to Padhuka. But both the books are good and will cater your needs. Select the book according to your requirement. If you have good time for preparation, buy Good book. Write both group if and only if you have more than 8 to 12 months for preparation. Under go coaching for those subject on which you are weak , if you opt for self study for tough one will lose more time…

Hi Nihar
Too many opinions would spoil the party completely. Just take it easy. Though some people advice you to attend classes, while some don't, the surest thing about classes in general, is that, it saves lots and lots of time. At IPCC Level, you are barely left with 10 odd months for your exams, and in those ten months you are required to study 6 subjects over papers. And these are not your school exams or the mediocre commerce grad exams which you can read over night and secure 90.
For the CA IPCC, I would suggest attend classes fora s many subjects as is possible. At the same time, have a check on your finances as well. Being a Chennaite, though I would recommend classes at Chennai, I wouldn't advice you on moving out of your place during IPCC preparation time. First identify good faculties in your place, and then attend their classes. Follow the books recommended / suggested by them, and that is the best option. And start early for the classes. Ensure that outside of class hours, you are left with atleast three months to prepare for your exams. And do carry a knife / gun in your bag, so that, if by any chance, somebody advises you to take group by group, or tell something about how difficult is CA course, finish them off just there!
On a personal front, if you can afford to come down to Chennai and take up your classes, I would suggest to go for either Prime Academy or Shri Guru Kripa. They take care of your books as well.
More than anything, stay confident and happy during your preparation stage. Don't get intimidated by any seniors around you. After all every body is a human, and more than a lakh have passed before you, and lakhs will pass after you.
All the very best.
