if husband and wife both are goverment service how the income tax affected both

For Income tax purpose both are independent......... and their HUF a totally independent entity.
Both are able to avail deductions under chapter VI A and avail basic exemption limit....
As per form 16, if any tax liability arise, Govenment/employer deducts TDS........ Still liability to file return exists if income above basic exemption limit.......

Both are different person for Income tax act purpose. both will have file their seperate ITR & all benfits or deductions or slab rate benifit are available to both. so it does not impact on tax liability whether both are govt employess or not
