Huf karta

Hi dude.. Widow can ( in exceptional n specified cases) become karta of HUF - - - only when no male member is alive in family.. As mentioned by you, since one male coparcener is alive, women CANNOT become karta.. (other views welcome)

since one male coparcener is alive he will be karta of huf. woman cannot be karta in this scenario

Even in case of no male..female cannot be karta..she can manage huf but cannot be karta..

Wat is ans if male co parcener is already krta in his family HUF

If I recall it correct........ Firstly, by virtue of amendment among females only daughters have a coparcenary interest in Huf. Secondly, there is a thin line of difference between coparcener and member.......I.e. All coparceners are members but all members are not coparceners. Thirdly, Females Cannot become the Karta of HUF, but under certain specified circumstances she can sign on behalf of the karta say in I.T return

Further, I am agree with chetan... When male male coparcener is alive (Being a sinior male member) he will automatically become the Karta. But if he is a minor, which could be the case, the senior most female member can sign on behalf of the karta
