HSN code in Table 17 and 18

Please guide me is it mandatory to give HSN code in TABLE 17 and 18 of Annual GST return in case of dealers having turnover more than 1.5 cr..In GSTR 1 of some parties HSN code list could not be submitted in past...thanks
