I have a small query as detailed below:
Mr. X, currently working in DELHI, is transferred to JAIPUR. His family will continue to stay in DELHI, in a rented accomodation. Now, will he be eligibile to claim HRA for rent paid for accomodation at both DELHI & JAIPUR.

HRA can be claimed only in respect of 1 house..
Since Mr x is transferred from Delhi to jaipur therefore he can clain HRA for his delhi accomodation till the period he was in delhi.
after his transfer he will not be eligible to claim HRA for delhi accomodation but he can claim deduction for his jaipur accomodation

He will be eligible to claim the deduction on account of HRA only in respect of that house in which he resides.
