Dear All,

I have a below question related to HRA exemption -

Our house is on the name of my grand-father, who has expired and currently my father and his elder brother are staying in this house.

In this case, is it possible to claim HRA exemption if I give rent to my parents ?

No.You can't avail the HRA .It's completely against law..
Your dad and your uncle are beneficial owners. you can pay rent to them and claim hra exemption. Subject to all other conditions are fulfilled.
Paying rent to parents , it is allowed ?

Is it legal ?
