wrt HRA I have the following three different salary structures in the current job:
1. Recived HRA of 12000 for one month in the april 2011.
2. Moved to Jakarta Indonesia on 5th May 2011, got the basic salary paid in India and other salary in Jakarta.
3. From Decemeber Onwards no salary will be paid in India .
So would like to know what rebate I will get W.R.T HRA rules in my case.
I have a rented house but it is locked.

As per Sec 10(13A) no exemption in respect of HRA will be allowed if nothing is paid, as HRA exemption is to be taken of the least of the following: :
1] HRA Recd
2] Rent paid in excess of 10% of salary
3] 40% of salary(Basic+D.A.) if you stay other than metropolitan cities & 50% ofr metropolitan cities.
So in your case if you not paying rent then condition two above would be ‘0’, so you can’t claim HRA exemption.
