Each and every head of income and deductions should be supported by evidence.

It's very wrong to file ITR as per our wish

No one care for your wish.

Querist want solution not your lecture.

I already told that, we have proofs with us but even if it is not available you can claim so.

So just let the person decide what he want to .

ITR filing should not be as per your wish and it should as per evidence available.

Being CA you are giving wrong advice to file ITR without proof of rent . That shows

I m saying rent receipt required but exemption claimed without proof and later on he asked for receipts again

It's a general practice to claim exemption of HRA even though the landlord has provided no receipt for rent.  The HRA exemption amount is small, so this much risk can be taken.

Being professionals, you must collect the proof though it is not required to upload instantly on income tax portal
