HRA deduction

I am a govt employee and I am living on rent. But my DDO is deducting TDS on HRA. Can I claim the deduction on HRA in ITR1 or it is compulsary to show this deduction in form16

u can claim as a deduction in Form 16 ....no need of claiming in ITR

लेकिन श्रीमान जी मेरा Ddo मुझे छूट नहीं दे रहा है तो वो मुझे फार्म 16 में भी छूट नहीं देगा वो मुझसे आॅनलाइन पेमेंट की रसीद मांग रहा है जबकि मैनें किराया cash में दिया है और मेरे पास उसकी रसीद है।
