25 February 2017If You Pay Full Amont 13000/- Of Rent So Par Year It Will Come Around Rs 156000/-
So Pan No Is Mandatory and u need to summit rent receipts also
If you pay more than Rs 1 lakh annually towards house rent, then quoting landlord's PAN is mandatory for claiming tax benefit under House Rent Allowance quoted a circular by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on the matter of deduction of tax at source during the payment of salaries.Dec 18, 2013

Thanks Samir but my landlord denied PAN Card that's why I want to know , Can i claim the rest HRA during ITR as I have the transaction details that I am paying 1,56 000 per Year & if Income tax departmrnt enquiry about it. I can share the landlord Bank A/C number that I am paying this much Amount.
If Landlord does not provide the PAN that means burden of Rs. 18000 of additoonal tax amount along with paying rent
Is there any legan way to claim this amount ?

IF YOUR LANDLORD DENIED TO PROVIDE TO PAN CARD,, YOU CAN TAKE A DECLERATION FORM WITH FILL DETAIL OF , ADDRESS AND TOTAL RENT PAID AMOUNT AND SIGNED , IT IS A PROOF OF RENT PAID BY YOU

Declaration form is not accepting by employer as per income tax notification in Jun 2016, They are insiting to provide the PAN of landlord if Rent paid more than 1 Lakh in a year .
Is there any other option to claim the HRA if landlord denied the PAN card ?

In short 'no'. You cannot claim HRA deduuction beyond 1L without PAN number of your landlord.
