U cn Claim the deduction of HRA as under
Least of
1. Rent Paid
2. Actually Allowance Received
3. Rent Paid - 10% of salary.
You can claim the HRA for the whole year as well though actual allowance received would be less than Rent paid.

Hi Amit,
While calculating exemption for HRA under section 10(13A) of the IT Act, you have to consider rent only for SIX months.
