HRA and Rent payment

Sir,
I have received HRA for Rs 15000/- approx in fy 2018-19 and rent paid for Rs 48000/- during FY. Can't I get both amount exemption in filling ITR-1, if where I have to fill, please advise

You can get either of one exemption of HRA or deduction of rent paid u/s 80

if you weren't in receipt of hra, you can claim the entire rent payment of 48000. since you are in receipt of hra deduction under 80gg. now you can claim exemption of 15000 under 10(13a)
