07 June 2011An employee stays in Mumbai on rent of Rs 10000/- p.m. His office is about 60 Kms away from his residence. It takes almost two hours to reach to his office in the morning and in the evening. Hence he purchases new house nearby his office on loan.
Can he avail both HRA and Loan deduction??

he may claim HRA and home loan deduction as well
but he actually paid rent and supporting document like rent receipt also required as per requirment
