Well tax paper was a bouncer alright.
But apparently people who had covered the RTPs properly nd the ammendments did really well..
I think the institure really did us a favour in SM / IT..

Yes, the tax theory was a bit out of the ordinary, all right..
I believe that indirect tax was particularly easy though.
Overall the standard of the papers has gone up.
However, Ac and Cost were a bit too simple..

actually, 1st group was comparatively easy... costing is enuf to spoil any1 s results. auditing was interesting as it was practical. law was also gud. any1 can clear it atleast... costing- the worst of all papers to me... many ppl here ve said dat tax was difficult. but it was ok. indirect tax - service tax question was so simple... those who were nt strong in amendments(like me) found it difficult...as u ppl say, info tech paper was really so simple but i messed it up. i just forgot bpr, data centre challenges n stuff though i had studied... flow chart question was the best of all......

All the papers were easy for a prepared student.
I just got very complacent and laid back towards end that I never studied the day before tax and ITSM papers..Tax at least something. Before ITSM absolutely nothing. My SM was good as I was prepared and I checked that all my answers were right. IT I presume the flowchart alone is right. I hope I pass. Tax- my sec 89 answer was fully wrong :( Sobs. Q2- I am not sure about what the "trick" in it was. If it's relating to agriculture income, I hope what I did was right. Else, I m busted! :(
Other Papers -
Accts,Audi- Fine. God bless the paper setters. Good that many questions from standards had come.
Law,Costing- I wasn't very prepared so I managed something with the laws I remembered from preparations ages ago. In Law, I capitalized on ethics n communication, comp. law, etc. Costing, I think I should pass. The cost of capital question I hadn't studied the chapter but I had rather skim-read them before going into the exam hall. I multiplied the Ke, Kd,etc with market value as in per unit..instead of the entire value, should have had some common sense..so I suppose that is wrong except for computation of ke,kd, etc
