do any one know the answer of ques no.3 (standard costing) as i think there is a mistake in that question???

Yes, I agree with u Question was illogical from view point of fixed overheads and sale price ... I think freshers r setting paper.. Product costing rs 5000 is having sp of 700... and not yet finished budgeted FOH r 60 lakhs while actual r 3 lakhs, how ridiculuos.... Further mistakes, In Q 1b "where is mutual fund MN", see last 2nd line of question...

I was stuck in this question for like 10 minutes just because I couldn't believe the figures, thank god someone else also noticed there was something horribly wrong with the question! Labour variance was SO high and I rechecked 4 times to see if am doing something wrong.

I was sure about the standard costing question, but not it seems not so sure!

The whole paper was simply meant to confuse n make u think whether this is way it is meant to be.... No balance of questions... N overall it was a bad paper:(. Highly disappointed with this one ....

i wasted 15 min extra on tht point of standard costing qustion...already there ws so much to apply our mind in tht paper, we need to correct icai mistaks as well...rightly said by the above grl "freshers r setting papers"..i agree..

42 marks direct theory but nt at application level...questions r lengthy and mix wid mistakes...consume lots of tym in dat...icai done a lot to fail students ..fir icai its tedha h par mera he..students ka kuch bi ni...

I doubt even if the person who had set the paper could complete that in 3 hours...pretty lengthy...2 continuous hopeless papers...hamari exam kharab kar k institute khushi se diwali mana rahi hogi!!

After the exams i felt lost....dont know institute kis baat ka bada le raha hai ..?? every question had something in it...are bhai we are not using excel to solve that paper boss ..thora daya karo..
