ans Rs 66000 is wrong....correct ans is Rs 68750.
For X cost =Rs 50000
For Y cost = Rs50000+10%-----Rs55000
Y send it to C @ 20% on invoice price----but here we dont know the invoice price
so we will take 25% on cost------i.e Rs 55000+25%=Rs 68750-----selling price charged by Y to C
for verification of ans : it's given profit is 20% on SP----i.e Rs 68750 * 20%------Rs13750
& on Cost Rs 55000*25%------Rs13750

Since 50000 is cost price X sends ===> To Y @ ( 50000 + 10 % ) = 55000
and Y sends ====> To X @ ( 55000 + 20 % ) = 66000
(Note : since Y gets the goods form X at Cost+Mark up == Invoice Price ) so Calculating 20 % on it will be the solution

its a logic....if its 20% on Invoice price that is 1/5th of Invoice price then its always 1/4th on cost price i.e 25% on cost.
& if its 1/6 on invoice price then its going to be 1/5 on cost..i mean denominator is reduced by 1.
