Collect the necessary documents, a copy of your Aadhaar card, PAN card, canceled cheque, and a self-declaration form. You will also need to submit a copy of your resignation letter or any other document that shows your last working day.
-
You can either submit the documents physically at the nearest EPFO office or online through the EPFO member portal. If you choose to submit the documents online, you will need to register on the EPFO member portal and create a UAN (Universal Account Number) if you haven't done so already.
-
Once you submit the documents, the EPFO will verify the information provided by you and update the DOE in your EPF account. This process can take a few weeks, and you can track the status of your request online.
-
Once the DOE is updated, you can withdraw your PF balance by submitting a withdrawal claim form online or at the nearest EPFO office.
It is important to get the DOE updated in your EPF account as it affects the interest earned on your PF balance after the date of exit.
If the DOE is not updated, the interest earned after the date of exit will not be credited to your account.
