i donot understand what you exactly said.i just want to know in case of joint bank account of husaband and wife ,in which IT return i.e husband or wife the bank A/c will be shown along with interest.

Generally interest will be taken in the return of persons whose name appears first in the bank account.

unless a clear mandate is given to bank for appropriation of percentile of interest the first holder is treated as depositor

Interest is to be shown in the hands of the first holder of the bank account .
