How do we import data from excel to tally? Is possible to import data in Tally without any TDL and XML generator utility. Please provide suitable explanation.

There are many ways to import bank statements, vouchers and masters in Tally. Also there are different banks having different statement formats. You have to use third party tool utility to import Bank statements, vouchers and masters in Tally 9, ERP, Prime, from Excel or PDF.

How to import data in Tally -
Voucher and Master in the XML format can be imported into Tally using the Import Vouchers and Master option. You can import vouchers from one company to another in Tally. Some of the scenarios are:
- Importing data from third-party applications
- Migrating to a later release
- Data corruption/loss
How to import Masters and Transactions in Tally -
- Press Alt+O (Import) / Go to Import Option
- Select Masters / Voucher Option
- Select the Path of XML file
- Enter the File Name
- Press OK to Import
