VIA FILING GSTR 2
FILE GSTR 2 FOR THAT PARTICULAR MONTH TO AVAIL CREDIT PAID AS GST

but we cannot file return for the period earlier than date of taking registration

FIRSTLY CHECK YOUR GSTR 2A WHETHER SUCH INVOICE IS REFLECTED OR NOT
IF YES, THEN MAKE IT AS PENDING
AND SUCH INVOICE WILL BE REFLECTED IN THE NEXT MONTH SO ACCEPT IN NEXT MONTH TO TAKE CREDIT

I take registration in August and bill is of July month, so I don't give me gst number for it.

take credit in august (subject to invoices possessed with you , mentioned legal bussiness gstn on invoice)
