How to study indirect tax?

Since excise and customs is only for 25 marks each for Ca Final Indirect tax. What topics should one cover for these two? Tell me important topics that need to be covered here.

Aram se can score 60+ guaranteed with the following A. EXCISE:- Be perfect with the following 1. Valuation, SSI, cenvat credit, 2. ICAI case law book wch is available in nov for may'15 exam 3. Recent amendments. 4. From rest of the chapters study only selected portion B.CUSTOM- 1. Basic chapter (selected topics) 2. conveyance warehousing clearance procedure 3. Baggage rules 4. Recent amendments 5. Cases from Icai case law book C. SERVICE TAX- Be perfect with 90 to 100% portion including cases from Icai case law book D. OTHR COMMON TOPICS:- small chapters such as advance ruling, settlement commision read fully and for rest of the thngs recent last 2 years budgets amendments. Note: Last two years amendments i.e 2 years budget thngs + icai case law book for may'15 exam is a must

One more important chapter in Custom is Foreign trade policy.

Enquire in CA book shop..if u dint get then check online. If u dint like idt bangar, try wid padhuka. Its gud for excise, cenvat, custom and othr common topics. Service tax along with illustrations gud in bangar. Before u buy..select 1 gud chapter and compare this in each author's book. It helps u to buy wch book.
