How to proceed after clearing ca

hi friends!
i have cleared my ca final first group in nov 2011 and going to appear in may 2012 for second group.
i am so confused how to proceed further for getting a job in good company
I have completed my articleship in a small ca firm in which i have done some internal audits , a little work of filling income tax and TDS returns but i don"t get much experience in any field so that i can write in my resume
whether i should apply in ca firms to get more experience
pls suggest and gude me how should i develop my skill and experience
from where i can get a list of ca firms and a gud resume format
pls help and guide me

you need to findout your area of interest auditing, accoutning, finance ...etc.

you can do following after clearing exam:

1. Appear in campus interview

2. Accept the opportunity coming from area of interest. Do not think to become DG, MD CEO or CFO if you get its good but advisable is to get some good amount of pracitcal exposure by working at bottom level. once you are well equipped with knowleege and experiecne you'll get calls for better jobs.

I would advice not to be impulsive or impatient. it may take time but you will get opportunity. Firts prefererence should be quality of job instead of money. because once you choose money over quality job it will take toll in fututer and you will find diffifult to change industry.

Hi Komal,

Concentrate on clearing your exams ASAP. Dont worry about life after CA now. you will have time to think about it, but writing exams and clearing it this attempt is very important. Once you are done with exams you will have time till announcement of results which time you can develop a good CV of your own and find about CA firms.

If your area of interest is Audits, Find out various types of audits that a CA firm does and include it in your exposure and Same goes with Tax - Find out various types of advisory that a tax consulting or audit firm does and include it your CV after getting good exposure towards it. I would suggest including these only and only if you have a thourough grip on the area you are about to include in CV.

To name a few: Audits - Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, Special audits under DT or IDT, Systems Audits, Bank Audits etc.. Under Tax - Tax Audits under IT Act, Tax Planning, Tax Representations at ITO's, Tr.Pricing, DTAA's, TDS Issues, IDT Cenvat Specialization etc. etc..

Since you are done with Gr.1 you have a fair idea on Accounting, Auditing, Fund raising in MAFA and Co Law or SEBI Matters. now its time for you to get knowledge on DT, IDT along with preparing for your upcoming exams.
