I would also advise you to study from Bangar's book.
Study all topics well in advance with full focus and interest. Bangar's book is in Q & A format which will surely help you.
Also study few topics frequently asked in exams. Also use scanner and prepare latest cases on IDT

Whether you refer Bangar or vaidheewaran , your approaches to exam is very important. You must have good conceputal clarity of concepts behind legality....
Following area you must be clear
1. Central excise Act
2. Central excise rule
3.CETA 1985
4. CENVAT credit
5. Case laws ( each chapter)
6. Recent amendment
7. Notifications
There may be practical questions based on case laws. There are cases laws which may contradictory with each other.
Approaches to case laws
1. Fact of cases
2. Decision taken up by court
3. your conclusions to exam question
Valuation chapters of CEA is very important. YOu must have a good and clear idea about Cenvat credit...
