I am student of CA final having attempt in November 2008. But I haven't started preparation/coaching due to some unavoidable reasons. I enrolled to take coaching ACCOUNTS & MAFA (3 hrs daily class) from June-Aug. I study Remaining subjects myself.
Actually I am strongly confident to attempt for both groups. But, how can I prepare both in 6 months (MAY-OCT)? What will be my preparation strategy? How can I plan all the subjects?
Plz advise me.

CA final in 6 months is a difficult target but not impossible.. So plan out ur studies properly, manage time well & be prepared to work very very hard.
U r attempting bothe gps. But when u study... plan in such a way that u prepare at least one of the gps so as to clear it & score much more than 200...so that any aggregate shortage in the other gp can be made for. In the other, prepare 2-3 sub such that u score more than 60 & just pass rest of the papers.
Sub-wise...u can do following:
1 Study accounts & cost AT LEAST for 1 hr every day till exams.. This is other than coaching time. Also try practice/solving ques in writing.. don't solve similar ques.. try ques with varied adjustments
2 try cumulative study for law/IDT/DT. gp study will help.
3 make short notes for audit & Info tech.. that u can easily revise.
Try to save 2.5-3 months for revision.

six month is amply of time for you to get prepared for the exams. you can do atleast three times revision of the subject.First you need to prepare a schedule by taking into consideration your pet subjects like Auditing or accounts.your shedule must contain one theory and one practical subject so that u will not get bored by reading the same subject.you did'nt write whether u are appearing for single or both groups.if it is single group if u allot 2 hrs per day @ 1 subject u will definetely pass in the exams the only condition is start preparation today and do not procrastinaste(postpone).if you are appearing for both groups you have to take two subjects in one group and one subject in another group complete it in one month and take rest of the subjects in next month.finish off your preparation including revison before one month and try to answer model papers for having time management in the exams.. Thanks to all... you've also give me a good guidance for preparing for my studies...
I m CA Final student, and I will be eligible for May 2011.if I go for May I will be left for only six months.
Please suggest me that should I appear in May or postpone my attempt to Nov 2011.
I have not joined any coaching and still not in favors of them. I believe in self study.
Suggest me how to prepare for CA final effectively without coaching.
Suggest me books too.
Please help me.
