Rahul,
Notes waste a lot of time, be subject specific not every subject needs notes, law requires a lot of reading (atleast 3 times). think about the efficiency not doing notes and reading dirctly from books. start reading and you will develop a method of your own. but for starter.
Read first time with a pencil (never with hand you will be wandering).
read and now mark keyword (one word that can be called headings).
now underline short lines (skip adverbs) that you find in supporting details for your heading.
Reading is done, it will be like your own notes.
read it atlest 3-4 times and it will stick with you till exam if not forever.
during revsion phase take feedback test (write headings only) and see for yourself your progress if it does not suit you the feedback score will tell you.

u cannot say that notes have specific performa.... notes generation vary from from student to student... like some likes to do diagramatically representaion of each and every concept but some like to write in theorotically for every important point they like.

rahul, friest of all u have to decide,in which formet(nots or book)u r confertable,if u like reading with books there is no need to prepare nots, though it is true that u r anable to read full book in one day but everyone knows that no one can creack CA exam in 1 day reading. If u like reading with nots, thre is many advises have givin to u.
Keep in mind only one thing that nots and books will do nothing if u r not honost with yourself.Best of luck.

Regarding your query use the attached file as a reference. This file may give you an idea about how to prepare notes.

Hi akash,
If you are going to use what i have written, I would have to first ask you to pay me (being a professional. you know) kiddin' yaar . anyway back to topic. I discovered I am a print learner in class 12 while studying business studies, and then I applied in auditing in B.com then Company law, then B.law. It has been working fine for me, ever since. well every individual is unique find your method. therefore this method is tried and tested.
the Key is as you read along, every time you revise your brain will automatically make a map (Mind map) of keywords and as you write in the exam you wll recall what you have read. and amusing some times pages as well, and frankly in B.com I got 2 days holiday for auditing and then for B.law just 3 days gap. by the way Why would somebody revise the whole book in just one day is he going to die, also you have not studied the whole year there is no point reading from books or notes. if you want to know more about reading from text book- then google for yourself you will have plenty of ideas. and then you would not have to pay me.
who am I kiddin' you will never pay me.

My suggestion to U - Dont mix up CA with B.Com . U may ve done a good job in ur college life , but it is immaterial in CA . Sweet memories of B.Com can not be c/f in CA ,,, it is neither practical nor a prudent appraoch .

I agree with urbanlegand.. I too perfer using the text, and I dont think there is anything wrong beacuse I've been doing it for the past 12 years, and its the 'comfort zone' thing. Plus, why do you have to revise EVERYTHING on the last day of the exams? Only those few topics that you find hard to recolect or are complex should be looked at again, I think. Plus, like so many advices that you get here, you can maintain a 'diary' of all that you find difficult and revise that only..
