Hi All, I recently joined Articleship. While I find myself good in Taxation....I realised I am not up to the mark when it comes to Journal Entries....I even have a problem with understanding the basic entries and also when it comes to thinking about the entries to be passed for any adjustments or a special case... I'm struggling. Please suggest me how to improve my knowledge in Journal Entries....Is there any good book that I could use for this purpose?? Please help me..

Books of 11th n 12th std. will b helpfull. Go through basics concept over der.
Agree with Sarvesh,11th class books are best source to improve your basic knowledge of accounts. Rather than going for other books you should refer those books only as language is easy to understand and comprehend
If you can then do concept clear from 11th and 12th books. Otherwise observe transaction generally in a/c has limited scope of entries then also better to to have powerful concept clearity.

In our earlir days we use to draw a big "T" in a plain paper. We will pass the journal entry in mind & pass the Debit in Left side & Credit in the right side to find our the result & correct ness after posting in to various ledgers that to in the plain sheet by openning all ledgers.
