How to get token number to download the tds certificate 16 or 16 a

Token number is written on the receipt of return filed. 

Form 16 should be downloaded by Deductor. Deductor has to register at TRACES site. Token number is seen on the receipt issued by TIN FC when you file TDS returns.

TIN FC Means???

Tax Information Network-Facilitation Centre. TIN -FC where you submit the returns to upload into income tax site.

That means i have to submit the returns in TIN FC and they will provide TOKEN Number... after that i am able to download the form 16 or 16 A..

How did you file the Quarterly returns without submitting to the TIN FC?

Sir, i don't know what is the actual procedure of TDS deduction and deposit...

Only, I know the TDS payment through Challan 281 online & Return through RPU tool & submit through FVU in TDS Traces website...

After this step FVU file and Form 27A PDF file will be generated. You have to copy the fvu file in a pendrive or CD and submit the Form 27a at any TIN FC. After uploading the fvu file to the Income tax site TIN FC will issue you with an acknowledgement receipt. That is PRN or Provisional Receipt Number. That form has the the Token number/PRN and other details required to download form 16 and to do all works in TRACES site.
